Gram is a four year old brindle male. He ran 123 races at Tri-State Kennel Club. His racing owner said that he still wants to run at the track, but it is time to get him adopted. Now he is looking for a long term commitment with a family that has a fenced in backyard and plenty of toys. He has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Gram is just a big puppy and is a lot of fun. He gets along greyt with the other greyhounds in his playgroup and he shares nicely. If another greyhound wants a toy that he has, he will either snatch it up and run away or he moves onto the next available toy. He absolutely does love to run and he will run on his own or with a pack. If he is running with a pack, he is the one who started it. He will do zoomie after zoomie and stop dead at your feet to give you a big goofy look with his tongue halfway to the ground. He loves to get attention from you and has no problem goosing you with his nose to get your attention. Due to his active nature, we will only place him with older kids (10+). We believe that he would do best with an active family that has a fenced in yard and maybe a doggie friend, not necessarily a greyhound, for play. He likes to go out for walks, but he suffers from "OMG! Is that a leash in your hands?" syndrome. He gets so excited, we believe that he thinks he is headed to a race. Once he settles down, he walks nicely on a leash and is respectful of your pace. He loves getting treats and he takes them nicely from your hands. Gram would make a greyt first greyhound or a wonderful addition to an existing pack.
