Godines is a three year old red female. She ran 202 races at Caliente Kennel Club in Mexico. Now she is looking for a quiet retirement spot where she can enjoy her family's love and affection. She has tested older kid, cat and other breed friendly. Godines is very sweet, but she is very cautious in new environments and with new people. She needs a family that understands her need for time to adjust. Due to her need for time to adjust and a quiet environment, we will only place her with older kids (12+). She enjoys being out with the other greyhounds in her playgroup. She is much more relaxed in their presence and loves to hang around and follow the pack. She will join in on the daily zoomies, but she doesn't initiate them or do them on her own. When she is in the playgroup on her own, she just walks around and checks everything out. If you give her time, she will eventually come to you for some attention. She takes it on her own terms. If you are petting her and you move to fast, she will walk away. We believe that she would do best in a home with another dog, not necessarily a greyhound, for companionship. We would also like to see her in a home with a fenced in yard for elimination and play. She is not a fan of going for walks. She can be a little hesitant on her own on a leash. However if you take her with another dog, she walks longer and better. She enjoys getting treats, but has not started to take them from our hands. Godines would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack.
