Guess What Is Coming In From
Texas!!
Puppies AGAIN?!?!
We have five puppies coming in from
Texas via a Kansas haul. There are four girls and one boy.
They are all brindle, but the boy has a black face and a white stripe
going down his nose. They were born on June 2, 2010. We will
be announcing their arrival date soon.
Urgent Update:
The hauler has decided to stay overnight. They will not be
arriving until Sunday, August 29, at 8:00 AM. We apologize for any
inconvenience.
The only boy in the litter.
Cute as a button and loves to play!!
Two of the little girls.
Can't you smell the puppy breath?
The other two sisters at play.
Too cute for words!
The Broods Coming In From Kansas
Two Brood Sister:
Monarch (Bohemian Monarch) -
9.5 year old black female. She ran 158 races during her career and
had 13 offspring as a brood mom. She is described as reserved (not
shy) and laid back, a very sweet girl.
Regent (Bohemian Regent) - 9.5
year old black female. She only had 17 race, however, she was the
winner of the 2003 Sarasota Derby. She had 22 offspring in her
very productive brood career. She is described as active and
happy.
The Boys Coming From Kansas
Justice, Presidential, and
Secret (EZ Justice, EZ Presidential, and EZ Secret Service) - Three
brothers that were trained to race, but couldn't cut it at the track.
Two are red brindle and one is dark brindle. They were born on
June 5, 2008. All three are playful and very affectionate!!

Are
You Thinking About Adopting A Greyhound?
Greyhound
Friends of Augusta (Georgia) posted a link from their site to a song
called "The Race" by Matt Dahan. Matt wrote the song for his
family's two adopted greyhounds. After listening to the song,
group volunteer, Alan Jackson purchased it, wrote out the lyrics, timed
the song and scoured the internet looking for appropriate photos to
make a slideshow video. After viewing the video, Matt gave
Alan permission to use it to promote greyhound adoption. The
original video may be viewed on YouTube.
Please remember that adopting a retired racing
greyhound is a life long commitment and your decision should not be
taken lightly. We recommend that you read "Retired Racing
Greyhounds For Dummies" by Lee Livingood. Come out to the
kennel and talk to some of our volunteers. Call us with your
questions, (856) 292-8780. Even if you adopt from another
agency, try to get as many opinions and facts before you make the
commitment. Greyhounds are pack animals and they bond very
quickly with their new pack, your family. To adopt a
greyhound and return them would break their heart and spirit, after all
you have rejected them.
You can now fill out your application and
submit it on-line. Go to the bottom of the "Adoption" page or
the top of the "Adopt Me" page to submit your application
on-line. Or print out our application at the bottom of the
"Adopt Me" page.
Why
are you lurking on the computer? Don't be afraid, come on out
to the kennel and see the greyhounds for yourself.
Are you afraid to fall in love?
Please
Note: The Kennel will be closed on Wednesdays.
Hound Spotlight
Abney is a four and a half brindle
male. He is registered with the National Greyhound Association
and trained to race, however, he never officially competed at a
track. He has tested older kid (10+) and other large breed
friendly. Abney was in a home, but he had a hard time
adjusting to being in a home with a small child. He is very
playful and loves to go out for walks. We believe that Abney
would do best in a home with older or no children living there.
He would love to have a backyard to run around in or someone who
likes to go out for long walks. Abney has been in our kennel
for awhile, please don't make him wait much longer.
Abney is being

Planning Your Holiday
or Summer Vacation?
Don't Forget The Furkids!!
Let
Greyhound Angels Adoption watch your furkids for you. We
provide boarding and grooming for all greyhounds and their other breed
friends. We offer your furkids a climate controlled (air
conditioned and heated), fully licensed facility. We also
provide around the clock staffing for their safety and your piece of
mind!!
All furkids
that board with us will be able to play the day away in our indoor 20
ft. X 60 ft. playroom complete with toys, beds, and blankets.
They will have a playgroup in the morning and in the
afternoon. All playtime is supervised so that your greyhounds
and their other breed friends are safe. Plus a relaxing leash
walk before dinner. It will be their vacation while you are
on vacation.
We do not
charge extra for medication administration, to feed your dog a special
diet, playtime, or to show them plenty of love and attention.
Any greyhound staying seven nights will get a free spa day before they
go home. They will receive a free oatmeal medicated bath,
nail clipping, and ear cleaning.
Maybe your
greyhound will find a friend to take home with them. We
provide a pick your friend service. If you are looking for
another greyhound, we will help your greyhound find a friend while they
stay here. By the time they go home together, they are
already buddies.
Space is limited for boarding so
that we may provide our vacationing greyhounds with plenty of attention
and love. Please call the kennel at (856) 292-8780 to make
your reservations.
We also
provide Spa Day Services for greyhounds. You can call to make
your appointment or just stop in with your greyhound.
Help GAA Find Our Forever
Home
GAA
is currently looking for a local property to open our forever
home. Our ultimate goal is to have our own kennel with plenty
of land to let our greyhounds do what they do best...run. We
will also be establishing a fenced in Fun Run for all,
no matter what agency they adopted through, greyhound
adopters to bring their greyhounds for play dates.
Please
help us establish this "Greyhound Utopia".
