Thinking About Adopting A Retired Racing Greyhound?

If you are thinking about adopting a retired racing greyhound, please remember that this is a life long commitment and your decision should not be taken lightly.  We recommend that you read "Retired Racing Greyhounds For Dummies" by Lee Livingood.  Come out to the GAA Adoption Kennel to spend some time with the available greyhounds and talk to our volunteers.  Bring the entire family, especially other furkids, so that everyone is a part of the process.

Even if you adopt from another agency, try to get as many opinions and facts before you make the commitment.  Greyhounds are pack animals and they bond very quickly with their new pack, your family.
To adopt a greyhound and return them could break their heart and their spirit.

If you have any questions, please call the kennel at (856) 292-8780 and one of our volunteers will be happy to help you.

Greyt Hounds4Heros
Come visit our affiliate page, Hounds4Heros, to find out more information about the incredible GAA program that adopts out greyhounds at no cost to the brave men and women who have served their country.

Meeting and Greeting
We are looking for people to do Meet and Greets. There are a couple non-pet stores, not Petcos or Petsmarts, that WANT us there. We are only asking for a one or two day a month commitment. It would help to spread the word about greyhounds and help them get homes.  If you think you can assist, please contact the kennel so we can get you in touch with these business owners.

Hound Needs
We are in need of Bleach, Laundry Detergent, Milk Bones, Paper Towels, and Sheets and Blankets  Please bring them by the kennel, or places like Amazon have them to ship directly to the kennel.  Thank roo!

The GAA Social Roos

We all know what greyhounds do to introduce themselves to each other.  Luckily, we humans have technology to help us out.  Talk with your fellow greyhound folks two ways!  Click either of the links below to interact with other GAA members...no sniffing required.
